Beau and I completed our first craft project just in time for Sara’s wedding. We made a giant canvas banner that Sara had found on the interwebs and loved but was wildly overpriced. Beau sewed the canvas and came up with the genius idea of putting snaps on the top so that it could wrap around any size pole. Beau is such a speedy worker, he was ironing and sewing at what felt like hyperspeed to me.

Once Beau had the fabric all ready, he insisted on using a projector to the get the letters perfect. Although I was a bit of a stubborn brat about it at first, I will admit it was a great idea because the letters looked great in the end.

I freestyled the first side of the wreath, then Beau made us bring the projector BACK out to make sure the other side was exactly the same. Again, it was a good idea despite me dragging my feet. We are both perfectionists but I guess he takes it to a different level.

The finished product! I love it and I love it that I finally have someone who loves making stuff as much as I do!

Professional lover of stories, the harmonica, goats and burritos. Constantly daydreaming about living in the country, ice cream and decorating. Inspired by beautiful writing, the PNW, Beyonce and kindness. I'm guaranteed to have hearts in my eyes when the lighting is just right and am totally in love with my beau named Beau, who I found in the middle of fall, my favorite season. I sleep in my makeup, grew up on grunge music, embrace imperfection and am pretty excited about the gift of waking up every morning with choice to kick butt and love every minute of this wild ride.
