Internet Finds Life

We had such a beautiful sunny weekend in Seattle, Beau and I decided to take a break from the wedding chore list and hop on the ferry to take a little day trip to Whidbey Island on the motorbike.

When we got to the other side, we drove to Langley to have lunch. I picked Spyhop Pub and when we walked in Jimmy Eat World was playing (Beau’s favorite) and shortly after Pearl Jam (my favorite). I love it when stuff like that happens. Food was A+, would totally go back, especially for their chili.

After lunch, we took the Langley loop driving real slow and soaking in the views and sunshine. There are some really cool properties on Whidbey, definitely got us both dreaming about our future tiny farm.

Once we circled back around to Freeland and go back onto Highway 525 we headed to Bayview Farm and Garden, which was the real reason we picked Whidbey for a day trip. I have had this nursery on my Seattle bucket list for about a year because of its epic Laburnum tree tunnel, which turns into a magical yellow garden fairy tunnel when it is blossoming.

It totally lived up to my dreams!! I wish I could live in it. Plus they had an awesome garden/gift shop full of pretty things. All of my boxes were checked and we headed back to Everett to get to work on our wedding DIY project… more on that in my next post!

Professional lover of stories, the harmonica, goats and burritos. Constantly daydreaming about living in the country, ice cream and decorating. Inspired by beautiful writing, the PNW, Beyonce and kindness. I'm guaranteed to have hearts in my eyes when the lighting is just right and am totally in love with my beau named Beau, who I found in the middle of fall, my favorite season. I sleep in my makeup, grew up on grunge music, embrace imperfection and am pretty excited about the gift of waking up every morning with choice to kick butt and love every minute of this wild ride.
