After our quick Nashville adventure we hopped in the car and headed for Sadieville, Kentucky – the tiniest town I have ever visited! Here is what downtown Sadieville looks like:

I loved meeting Beau’s family and exploring a new area for the holiday. Our Kentucky highlights included: spending time with Beau’s grandparents, driving down lots of country roads, visiting the Louisville Slugger Factory + Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse in Louisville, and going to Country Boy Brewing in Lexington. My favorite thing we did in Kentucky was go on the Toyota Plant Tour in Georgetown. Beau’s grandpa Billy used to work in the Visitor Center and hooked us up with some passes and I’m so glad it worked out because I was so impressed and was totally fangirling all of the Lean practices in the plant. Second to the Toyota Plant Tour was all of the delicious comfort food we consumed.

I can’t wait to come back to Sadieville to visit Beau’s family again. Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll!

Professional lover of stories, the harmonica, goats and burritos. Constantly daydreaming about living in the country, ice cream and decorating. Inspired by beautiful writing, the PNW, Beyonce and kindness. I'm guaranteed to have hearts in my eyes when the lighting is just right and am totally in love with my beau named Beau, who I found in the middle of fall, my favorite season. I sleep in my makeup, grew up on grunge music, embrace imperfection and am pretty excited about the gift of waking up every morning with choice to kick butt and love every minute of this wild ride.
