Part of my travel preparation always includes a solid research session to find any must-see pretty places that might be close to where I am going.

When I found out I would be spending a few days in Tampa for a work conference, I did my due diligence and determined I had one mission and one mission alone: Oxford Exchange.

Oxford ExchangeΒ is an extremely good looking restaurant/cafe/work space/store. When I finally had some spare time from the conference, my coworker and I walked to Oxford Exchange for lunch and it surpassed allΒ expectations. Between the shop full of overpriced pretty things, the delicious lunch, the book store, Warby Parker, and the dreamy cafe, I was convinced I had arrived in the physical version of one of my Pinterest boards.

We all know that internet research can only take you so far, and sometimes life just takes you to where you need to be. When I popped into the nail salon down the block from my hotel for a manicure, I was delighted by its unexpected beauty and trendiness!

Adios Tampa! It has been interesting but don’t think I will be seeing you anytime soon.

Professional lover of stories, the harmonica, goats and burritos. Constantly daydreaming about living in the country, ice cream and decorating. Inspired by beautiful writing, the PNW, Beyonce and kindness. I'm guaranteed to have hearts in my eyes when the lighting is just right and am totally in love with my beau named Beau, who I found in the middle of fall, my favorite season. I sleep in my makeup, grew up on grunge music, embrace imperfection and am pretty excited about the gift of waking up every morning with choice to kick butt and love every minute of this wild ride.
